Job Overview:
The AVP, Data & Data Analytics role in Operations, Conversions, & Integration (OCI) will lead the data analytics team and the data processes associated with conversions and integrations. The ideal candidate will a strong background in data analysis, business requirements gathering, project management, and understand business/regulatory needs. The candidate must possess strong communication, time management, organizational, and analytical skills with a good eye for identifying and understanding firm risk and regulatory guidelines as well as client experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and Lead the OCI Data Analytics team that will have a series of responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Conducting data analysis to identify gaps, patterns, and anomalies for the conversion teams to plan, message and prepare for.
- Partner with the OCI Continuous Improvement team to identify areas of opportunity for conversion process improvement through analytics of past and current conversions reviewing trends, patterns, and outliers.
- Collaborate with teams on “storytelling” of the data insights collected.
- Performance management of the team by creating and supporting goals and development plans for each team individual, maintaining high levels of team performance standards, and acting as a change agent for the team in support of the department and LPL goals.
- Collaborate with OCI leadership on data strategy, governance and analytics for conversion data ingestion and analytics.
- Develop and implement procedures, controls, standard practices and reportable metrics for the team.
- Assess regulatory, financial, and reputational risks and understand controls needed when presented with opportunities and determining solution.

Requirements:
- 10+ years of data collections and data analytics and create compelling presentations and other documents supported by strong qualitative and quantitative storytelling.
- 5+ years of progressive experience managing employees.

- Thrive and excel in a very fast paced environment with a proven ability to manage concurrent complex projects and the ability to prioritize work, identify and manage escalations, and push for execution.
- Expert in data analysis, inference-making, and analytical pro-active problem-solving
- Expert communication skills, both written and oral, with ability to present materials to the highest levels on the organization and articulate the business case and justification across the organization.
- Ability to exercise a risk-based mindset (financial, regulatory, reputational) when presented with opportunities and determining solutions.
- Client centric approach and mindset
- Challenges status quo thinking with a different point of view to arrive at better results
- Proven leadership related skills such as mentorship and coaching, performance management and resource management.
- Make well educated decisions, that are fact based and metrics driven to realize goals and objectives.
- Think strategically, have a good eye for what may be coming and can message that strategy internally to OCI and externally to other LPL partners.
Preferences:
- Excels in data, reporting, and project software tools such as SQL, Lucid, Miro, Visio, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Alteryx, Tableau, etc.
- Experience in financial services in disciplines such as operations or trading, preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Industry licensing encouraged
