Purpose of the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled business intelligence lead responsible for customer research and supporting commercial channel teams in the region. This role will focus on leading data analysis efforts to generate insights that drive data transformation initiatives and enhance business intelligence across the organization. Manage all information related to commercial data, planning, sales compensation, and variable incentives. Lead commercial policy design, control, and trade spending follow-up. Experience in advanced analytics. Deep understanding of business intelligence tools. Proven ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
Position Scope
This position, while initially contracted for the Business Intelligence area within the South LATAM Vision Care cluster, is mapped for potential future development and transformation. Its scope may evolve to become part of LATAM One Vision, though this transition is not guaranteed.
Duties & Responsibilities
Data Analysis and Insights:
- Lead the analysis of complex datasets using statistical methods to identify trends influencing strategic business decisions.
- Apply data science techniques like predictive modeling and machine learning for innovative solutions to business challenges.
Business Intelligence Development:
- Design, develop, and optimize dashboards and reporting tools that provide actionable insights.
- Develop effective visualizations to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
Sales Compensation Leadership:
- Lead the Sales Compensation Function: Oversee the calculation and management of variable compensation payments for the sales team on a monthly and quarterly basis, ensuring timely and accurate distribution to drive motivation and performanceOversee the calculation and management of variable compensation payments for the sales team on a monthly and quarterly basis, ensuring timely and accurate distribution to drive motivation and performance.
- Policy Management and Updates: Regularly review and update sales compensation policies to reflect strategic business goals, market trends, and regulatory requirements, ensuring alignment with the overarching business strategy.
- Performance Metrics Development: Define and analyze performance metrics related to sales compensation, providing insights that aid in decision-making and optimizing sales effectiveness.
- Communication and Training: Serve as the principal point of contact for the sales team regarding compensation-related inquiries, delivering clear and effective communications about compensation plans, changes, and strategic alignment.
- Collaboration with Finance: Work closely with the finance department to ensure seamless integration of sales compensation data into financial reporting and forecasting process
Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to define requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Support data pipeline activities to ensure data integrity, availability, and usability across the organization.
- Interact with IT/supply and suppliers to ensure tool availability and development.
Monitoring and Reporting:
·Monitor and report key indicators to ensure data reliability and integrity.
·Ensure the accuracy and dissemination of trade inventory information in retail and distribution channels.
Sales and Market Strategy:
- Develop short- and long-term sales projections; support commercial teams in annual negotiations and account agreements.
- Build sales volume projections by collaborating with stakeholders across departments (sales, marketing, finance, etc.).
- Foster interaction within the sales team to share best practices and conduct workshops.
Governance and Compliance:
- Ensure implementation of governance processes to simplify procedures and monitor key performance indicators.
- Adhere to company policies and regulatory compliance, including quality and business conduct.
Team Leadership:
- Manage the Business Intelligence team, including recruitment, planning, development, and performance management.
- Work closely with the LATAM region to ensure successful implementation of key projects / initiatives.
Abilities / Skills
- Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Marketing, Economy, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field;)
- Demonstrable experience 3-4 years in Business Development role / in data analysis, data science, advanced analytics, or a closely related field, within Healthcare Sector.
- Expertise in business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and advanced data visualization techniques.
- Team leading experience is required
- Excellent Command of Spanish and English
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of the business environment in which the company operates, particularly in the healthcare sector, to align BI efforts with strategic objectives.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex data and draw insightful conclusions to drive strategic business decisions.
- Technical Knowledge: in programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R can enhance data manipulation and analysis capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on deriving actionable insights from complex datasets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong skills in managing relationships with stakeholders across various departments to ensure alignment and cooperation on Business Intelligence initiatives.
- Adaptability and Continuous Learning: Ability to quickly adapt to emerging technologies and methodologies in the data science and business intelligence fields.
- Demonstrable ability to work collaboratively within a team, manage multiple projects, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Project management and agile methodologies are desirable
- MBA or postgraduate desirable (not exclusive)
- No obstacle for frequent travelling (25%+)
