We are looking for a Lead Data Architect to join our company in one of our projects, in Lisbon.
Tasks:
- Design and develop scalable and efficient data driven architecture solutions to meet organizational needs;
- Oversee data visualization initiatives, creating user-friendly dashboards and reports that empower stakeholders to make informed decisions;
- Lead data management strategies, including data governance, collection, transformation, integration, and storage, ensuring data quality and reliability;
- Implement and optimize data governance frameworks to ensure compliance, security, and ethical use of data;
- Perform advanced data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that drive strategy and innovation;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions, aligning technical capabilities with business objectives;
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders, fostering trust and understanding;
- Write, debug, and optimize code to directly contribute to the development and maintenance of data systems;
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance our data capabilities;
- Mentor and guide team members, promoting skill development and professional growth within the company and the group.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field;
- Proven experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a similar role;
- Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, Java, Go);
- Deep understanding of data management, governance, and analysis methodologies;
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS), big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop), Data Warehose/Lake technologies (e.g. SnowFlake, others), and event streams and message queues (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ);
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate cross-functional teams;
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to present technical information to diverse audiences;
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges;
- Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with the latest trends and innovations in the data field;
- Experience in Project Management or Agile leadership roles are a plus;
- Fluency in English is mandatory, French is a real plus.
