Adjunct Faculty - Data Analytics
Position Overview:
The Adjunct Instructor in Business Analytics plays a vital role in delivering high-quality education to adult learners in online. This position is responsible for facilitating learning experiences that help students develop practical skills and theoretical understanding in business analytics. The instructor supports the academic success of diverse student populations by delivering course content, integrating innovation, assessing student learning, and maintaining active engagement. This role contributes to the institutionās mission by fostering academic excellence, professional growth, and real-world application of knowledge in the fields of accounting and finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate or graduate-level online business and business analytics courses.
- Facilitate the instruction of course content, assess student learning and learning activities aligned with course learning outcomes.
- Engage and support students through timely feedback, mentoring, and communication.
- Collaborate with program faculty and staff to ensure instructional alignment and continuous improvement.
- Utilize the university's learning management system (e.g., Brightspace) and other educational technologies to facilitate instruction.
- Maintain academic integrity and uphold university policies and procedures.
Location Policy:

Remote work from any of the following states ā Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Required Qualifications:
- At least two years of experience teaching adult learners or an equivalent amount of experience in higher education.
- Experience teaching in online or hybrid formats, with demonstrated proficiency in learning management systems (e.g., Brightspace).
- Proficiency in facilitating online and/or competency-based education (CBE) courses.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Business, Data Analytics, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Record of scholarly activity, such as academic publications, professional presentations, or field-related contributions.
- Experience working effectively with non-traditional and adult learners.
- Demonstrated innovation in curriculum delivery and the integration of instructional technologies.
- Familiarity with UMass Globalās academic policies and procedures.
Work Environment:
A remote adjunct work environment is a flexible, virtual setting where instructors deliver course content, engage with students, and fulfill academic responsibilities from a remote location. This environment typically relies on digital communication tools, learning management systems (LMS), and virtual collaboration platforms to facilitate teaching and interaction
Compensation:
The following salary range reflects compensation paid for a 3-unit course (101.25 hours) and varies based on the faculty memberās course assignment (see the Adjunct Compensation Policy for details including varying credit levels):
3-unit Lecture Course: The hiring range for this position is $3456.00 to $3856.00. Offers are determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to; geographical location, knowledge, skills, and experience.
