We are recruiting for a Senior Advanced Analytics Analyst to join our team.Ā  Ideally this role will be hybrid in our Farmington Hills, MI office.Ā  However, for the right candidate, this role can sit remote in most locations in the U.S.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Uses professional expertise to execute and support predictive analytics and other modeling analysis for the organization.Ā  This position will perform complex data analysis and utilize various statistical analysis to support department and company initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical and quantitative support to develop, test, validate, and maintain predictive models.

  • Collect and cleanse data used in the modeling analysis, including extracting and combining data from multiple sources using languages such as SQL, Python, and SAS.

  • Develop value-added analytics utilizing predictive modeling, multivariate analysis, regression analysis and statistical sampling.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve existing data capture or begin the capture of new data elements required for modeling.

  • Prepare and present results to key stakeholders, including development of data visualizations such as dashboards.

  • Communicate findings and recommendations within department and to colleagues in other departments.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, statistics, computer science, economics or related field

  • Completion of 2-3 actuarial exams or advanced degree in quantitative field preferred.

  • 3 years of experience in data science related position.

  • Intermediate programming skills enabling the individual to extract and manipulate data (i.e., SAS, SQL, Python, etc.).

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.

  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to lead discussions, make presentations and deliver technical results to a non-technical audience.
