AI & Advanced Analytics Manager

• You are an experienced professional with a background in Advanced Analytics

• We are a committed Risk Management team responsible for developing credit policies and strategies within Business Banking Risk Appetite, automated decisioning and driving efficiencies and simplifications in credit processes to achieve excellent customer outcomes and risk reward trade-offs.

• Together we will deliver faster and simpler customer outcomes through the innovative use of data, and enable Business Banking to scale safely and efficiently by establishing the best in class risk management framework leading the adoption of automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Risk Management is responsible for developing and deploying the risk frameworks to allow the Group to take conscious exposures to credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks within a Board-approved appetite. Risk Management ensures that the Group has appropriate strategies and frameworks in place to assess, manage and report on credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks.

You will be part of the Business Bank Risk Management team, working to provide model assurance over emerging AI models as well as credit risk models. We work across a diverse portfolio of business lending products and risk types, supporting strategic decision-making through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:

As the AI & Advanced Analytics Manager, you will lead and contribute to a broad range of initiatives focused on model assurance and risk analytics. Your key responsibilities include:

• Providing AI model assurance as part of an independent risk function

• Driving automation initiatives and championing adoption of new technologies

• Monitoring and annual review of credit risk models

About you:

You are a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and a passion for AI, analytics and risk management. You bring some (but not necessarily all) of the following attributes:

• Advanced coding ability in Python or R, and SQL

• Familiarity with AI, including GenAI and agentic AI

• Familiarity with IFRS 9, IRB or other credit risk models

• Knowledge of credit risk and business lending practices

• A technical degree in data science, statistics or similar

• A collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous learning
