The Opportunity:
CACI has an outstanding opportunity for a select GIS AI Software Engineer that wants to make a difference in the defense of the nation by applying their talents and experience in a fast-paced dynamic environment in support of US Special Operations Command. This opportunity is limited to self-starters with an advanced level of experience in planning, implementing, developing, and maintaining applications for a GIS Enterprise and capable of working independently in a fluid custom application development environment. You will be an integral part of a selective professional IT team that directly supports the operational planning cycle to support mission success. This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization in Fayetteville, NC.

Responsibilities:
You will use advanced AI software engineering techniques to perform complex analysis, design and modification of applications and databases for GIS Enterprise. You will design and implement UI systems, integrate disparate data sources, establish API’s, and construct frameworks that enable AI/ML functions by integrating ML models into user applications and platforms.

You should have excellent communication skills to include technical writing and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment. You should have the ability and willingness to continue to expand your knowledge and experience base to be detail oriented and to prioritize and complete assigned tasks within required deadlines. You should have exceptional problem solving and decision-making capabilities, including troubleshooting technical issues; successfully resolving project issues and challenges; and understanding user requirements to develop creative software solutions for process improvements.

Using your knowledge and experience you will recommend innovative technologies that enhance the presentation and use of enterprise GIS products and provide integrated systems planning.

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • 8 years of progressive experience performing design, development, and modification of UI and applications; OR typically 12 years of progressive performing design, development, and modification of UI and applications in support AI/ML strategies for the DoD/IC.
  • Experienced creating and developing custom tools and distributed process for large datasets.
  • Experience with high level/expert ability to manage and work with static and dynamic streaming geospatial oriented data.
  • Proficient with at least two with scripting and programming languages (HTML, JavaScript, Python, C#, C++, etc.).
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills and be capable of effectively directing subordinates.
  • Possess high level/expert ability to manage and work with static and dynamic streaming geospatial oriented data.
  • Required to obtain and maintain currency of the appropriate level certification in accordance with DODD 8570.01 (Security+)


Desired:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering and three additional years of general experience in the field intelligence systems architecture and geospatial systems experience

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$93,500 - $196,500
