About the Role
We are looking for a full-stack data analyst who can take end-to-end ownership of the data and analytics ecosystem at Valon. You will be responsible for building out our reporting, generating insights, creating data products, supporting our data infrastructure, and more. Youāll work closely with stakeholders across the organization and serve as the authority on the key metrics which drive our business. The right candidate is analytical, works well under changing circumstances, and has a good mix of technical skills and business intuition. ĀResponsibilities
- Write SQL queries, build reports and dashboards, and conduct analysis to empower business leaders to make effective decisions
- Create reporting pipelines in dbt
- Help establish and influence data process, tools, and systems that will allow us to make better decisions in a scalable way
- Partner with other members of the data team to improve our data platform
- Leverage our data tools to create products that increase the efficiency of our operations teams
- Document our data, ensure data accuracy and create/improve data sets to meet Valonās data needsĀ
- Respond to data requests from the product and business teams
- Dive deep to understand the inner workings of a highly complex industry
Ideal Background
- 4+ years of full-time work experience in data analytics, product analytics, business analytics, or business intelligence, ideally at a tech companyĀ
- Expert in SQL required (Python skills a plus)
- Experience with dbt
- Experience using data visualization tools, especially Hex, Looker, or an equivalent BI tool
- Experience working with data engineering teams and building out data infrastructure
- Experience applying data and analytics concepts to business problems cross-functionally

- Base Compensation Band: $105,000 - $260,000
