As a data analyst, you love diving into data and turning it into meaningful insights. As a data analyst at Booz Allen, you can use your skills and experience to support a mission and use data for good.  

As a client facing data analyst, you will create, review, and provide input on data visualization and provide expertise to client requested working groups, initiatives, and objectives. Your skills will be used to transform complex data sets into meaningful insights to support key client decision-making processes.  

How You’ll Contribute:
As a data analyst, you will:

• Use your technical knowledge and analytical mindset to support client and stakeholder relationships.

• Research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through the collection, analysis, and visualization of large data sets.

• Contribute to impactful work and guide decision-making across multiple organizations.

• Apply data cleansing skills and data analytics experience by simplifying technical requirements and trends, based on the audience.

• Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of databases, scripting languages such as SQL, Python, R, DAX, and Microsoft Office.

• Apply data visualization through different tools such as Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau, Power BI is preferred.

You Have: 

• Experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining

• Experience with communicating analysis, including in written and verbal forms

• Experience with developing data visualizations in Power BI to deliver key insights

• Experience with a scripting language such as SQL, R, Python or DAX to extract data and perform analytics and visualizations

• Knowledge of good data principles, including data cleaning, preprocessing, and sorting or filtering2

• Ability to maintain accuracy while dealing with large data sets, including attention to detail and quality

• Top Secret clearance

• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience working with DoD Data Platform tools, including Advana or BLADE

• Experience with using AI for data analytics, including RAG pipelines

• Experience with Databricks

• Experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Platforms

• Possession of strong consulting skills to translate and communicate client needs into actionable deliverables

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $48,000.00 to $98,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
