The Job
As the Clinical Analytics Lead, you will be the bridge between our rich clinical data and our product, engineering, and commercial teams. You will delve into the heart of how clinicians interact with Suki, uncovering insights that will drive product improvements, prove clinical and financial ROI for our customers, and ultimately, enhance the lives of healthcare professionals.
As a key member of the Suki Product and Clinical team, you will play the essential role of owning the clinical nomenclature that enables healthcare interoperability. The team will rely on your expertise and detailed curation of the datasets that enable Suki to encode clinical terminology and integrate with third party software.
You will define the set of clinical terminologies that lay at the foundation of Sukiās intelligence. You will collaborate with a team of expert technologists to develop a next-generation experience for clinical software, and help ensure that Suki can interoperate widely with the healthcare ecosystem. You will help the team imagine how clinical practitioners can generate all the data a complex healthcare system needs, using natural human interfaces that fit seamlessly into their practice. Your contributions will be key to realizing a future where technology is invisible and assistive in medicine.

ResponsibilitiesĀ
- Clinical Data Analysis & Insights: Design and execute in-depth analyses of clinical data generated through Suki's platform. You will identify trends, patterns, and key performance indicators related to clinical documentation efficiency, coding accuracy, and physician burnout reduction.
- ROI & Value Demonstration: Develop and lead the analytical framework to quantify and communicate the value proposition of Suki to health systems. This includes creating compelling data-driven narratives and visualizations for case studies, white papers, and customer presentations that showcase improvements in clinical workflows, time savings, and financial outcomes.
- Product Strategy & Development: Collaborate closely with product managers and machine learning engineers to inform the product roadmap. Your insights will be crucial in identifying opportunities for new features, improving existing functionalities, and ensuring our AI models are trained on high-quality, clinically relevant data.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the subject matter expert on clinical data analytics, working with our customer success, sales, and marketing teams to ensure they are equipped with the data and insights needed to support our clients and grow our business. You will also partner with our clinical team to ensure the clinical integrity of our data analysis.
- Data Governance & Quality: Establish and oversee best practices for clinical data collection, quality assurance, and governance to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our analytical outputs.
- Reporting & Dashboards: Design and maintain dashboards and reports that provide a clear and concise view of key clinical and performance metrics for internal stakeholders and external partners.

- Identify and own the primary set of medical terminologies that serve as the foundation for Sukiās medical language understanding (e.g. ICD-10 CM, CPT)
- Oversee and maintain the translation of these primary terminologies to alternative terminologies that may be used by systems with which Suki interoperates (e.g. SNOMED)
- Strategic input and knowledge contributions to product features such as diagnosis code suggestions and structured data extraction for quality reporting
- Assist the Product and Customer Success teams in understanding the needs of Clinical Informatics stakeholders at customer sites
- Provide education and contribute to collateral on Clinical Informatics topics e.g. for the Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing teams
- Contribute to Sukiās clinician-centered culture, as a key member of a fast-growing team with potential for significant, long-term impact in healthcare technology and the practice of medicine.

RequirementsĀ
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Health Informatics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, or a related quantitative discipline. A clinical background (e.g., RN, PA, MD) with strong analytical skills is highly desirable.
- Location: San Francisco Bay Area required?
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in a clinical analytics or data science role within the healthcare industry. Experience working for a health-tech company, EMR/EHR provider, or a health system's analytics department is a strong plus.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation from large datasets.
- Strong experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with statistical programming languages like Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
- Healthcare Acumen: Deep understanding of clinical workflows, healthcare data (e.g., clinical notes, claims, medical coding - ICD-10, CPT), and the operational and financial drivers of healthcare organizations.
- Analytical Mindset: A natural curiosity and a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and compelling stories.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex data to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborative Spirit: A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about making a difference in healthcare.

- 8+ years experience in a Clinical Informatics function within a health system, payor, software company, etc.
- Deep understanding of clinical terminologies and how they are used including but not limited to ICD-10, SNOMED, CPT, LOINC
- Experience architecting and maintaining pipelines for managing coding sets for ICD-10, SNOMED, CPT, LOINC
- Skills for managing large datasets, including requisite coding in python/bash
- Experience implementing software integrations with EHRs including Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, Athena, and/or Meditech
- Strategic thinker and and creative problem-solver, can imagine new ways to build the healthcare stackĀ
- Entrepreneurial mind-set, finds a way when faced with challenges
- Team player who is eager to understand motivations of different stakeholders and collaborates to achieve results

- Candidates who wish to continue practicing medicine part-time are encouraged to do so, as long as the commitment during weekday working hours is minimized

In compliance with the State of California Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is between 220k and 250k in CA.Ā This range is not inclusive of any discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidateās compensation, we consider a number of factors including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
