About Spark Assist
Spark Assist is S&P Global's AI-powered assistant platform, designed to help our 35,000+ colleagues access information, create content, and collaborate across the enterprise. This initiative uses AI technologies to enhance productivity and innovation across all business units.
 

The Opportunity
Join our Kensho Spark Assist product organization as Director of Product Management. You'll lead cross-functional teams, reporting directly to the VP of Product for Kensho Spark Assist while collaborating with the VP of Engineering and senior leaders across the enterprise.


Strategic Role Impact
This role supports S&P Global's digital transformation strategy. You'll work on AI initiatives that aim to influence enterprise-wide productivity, innovation, and our development as an AI-focused organization. Your leadership will contribute to product direction and AI adoption strategies across the global enterprise.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision
• Define and execute product strategy for Kensho Spark Assist initiatives
• Lead strategic planning processes, including roadmap development and resource allocation
• Contribute to thought leadership in AI-powered productivity
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies to address productivity challenges

• Work with Kensho Spark Assist leadership on externalization strategy

Team Leadership & Development
• Lead cross-functional teams spanning engineering, design, education, and business stakeholders
• Support development of junior product organization team members through mentorship
• Promote a culture of innovation, agile methodologies, and knowledge sharing
• Build and retain product management talent

Executive Stakeholder Management
• Serve as a product executive, presenting to and working with C-level leadership
• Build and maintain relationships with executives across S&P Global's business units
• Work toward consensus on product strategy, partnerships, and AI initiatives at the executive level
• Represent S&P Global at industry conferences and stakeholder meetings

Product Portfolio Management
• Oversee initiatives within the Kensho Spark Assist portfolio, working toward product-market fit across business units
• Explore platform capabilities to serve external customer segments and new market opportunities
• Establish and monitor key performance metrics, working to drive user adoption and business value
• Lead product partnerships and technology alliances that support platform growth

AI & Technology Strategy
• Provide oversight for AI technology initiatives in partnership with CTO and CDO organizations
• Support responsible AI practices, including ethics, governance, and regulatory compliance
• Guide technology architecture decisions for AI platform integrations and scalability
• Monitor AI technology trends to maintain competitive positioning


Essential Qualifications

Executive Product Leadership
• Track record launching and scaling enterprise-grade AI products
• Experience driving business outcomes through product initiatives
• Experience leading product organizations through growth and transformation

AI & Technology Expertise
• Understanding of AI technologies, machine learning, and enterprise platform architectures
• Deep knowledge of Kensho Spark Assist AI Tool-building frameworks including FDL, Flows, Flow Canvas
• Understanding of AI governance, security frameworks, and regulatory compliance
• Experience with enterprise software integration and API strategy

Executive Leadership & Communication
• Executive presence with ability to work effectively at all organizational levels
• Strong communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Strategic thinking capabilities with ability to translate technical concepts into business value
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships across global organizations


Preferred Qualifications

Industry Leadership
• Experience in data analytics in regulated environments
• Experience leading digital transformation initiatives in global organizations
• Masters degree in technology, business, engineering, or related field
• Experience with business model innovation

Technical & Product Development
• Experience with Python programming and data science workflows
• Track record in designing and building AI products and services from concept to market
• Experience with machine learning model development, deployment, and lifecycle management
• Understanding of AI/ML infrastructure, MLOps, and production AI system architecture
