We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Master Data Management (MDM) Specialist with 5–9 years of experience, including strong expertise in SAP MDM, to join our data governance and operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving data quality, consistency, and compliance across the organization by managing master data effectively across domains such as customers, vendors, materials, and products.

The MDM Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting enterprise data strategy, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of master data, and enabling seamless operations across SAP and other integrated platforms.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level Master Data Management (MDM) solutions, with a focus on SAP MDM.
• Manage and govern master data domains such as customer, vendor, material, product, and financial hierarchies.
• Develop and enforce master data standards, policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, business units, data stewards, and analysts) to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Perform regular data audits and cleansing activities to improve data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Support MDM integration with other SAP and non-SAP systems to ensure seamless data flow across platforms.
• Monitor and resolve master data issues and work on data remediation efforts proactively.
• Drive data quality initiatives using tools and technologies aligned with SAP MDM best practices.
• Participate in projects related to ERP implementations, data migrations, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Generate reports, dashboards, and metrics to track MDM performance and improvements.
• Train business users and data stewards on MDM processes and tools as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• 5 to 9 years of relevant experience in Master Data Management and SAP MDM.
• Strong knowledge of master data processes within SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, FI, and MDG is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with SAP MDM or SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) tools and data quality technologies.
• Solid understanding of data governance, data lifecycle management, and metadata management principles.
• Experience with data quality analysis, profiling, and cleansing tools.
• Proficiency in data mapping, workflow creation, and rules-based validations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP certification in MDM or MDG.
• Exposure to large-scale ERP data migration or implementation projects.
• Knowledge of other MDM tools like Informatica MDM, Oracle DRM, or IBM InfoSphere is an added advantage.
