Main tasks and activities

As a Data Engineering Lead, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of data pipelines and platforms. Collaborate with teams to deliver scalable data solutions, ensure quality and performance, and guide engineering best practices.

The main duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Lead technical delivery and team performance across 2–5 data engineers
• Guide the development and deployment of data products (especially using DBT)
• Review and validate data model designs and technical implementations
• Resolve complex technical blockers and ensure smooth delivery
• Provide technical support for squads in bug fixing and run & maintain (R&M) operations
• Collaborate with business teams to shape data product scope and technical framing
• Make key technical decisions aligning both business needs and architectural best practices
• Ensure squad technical practices are consistent with Data Factory standards and guidelines

Reporting line

• Report to manger in Vietnam and France.

Educational background

• Graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Technical skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience in a technical leadership or team lead role.
• Proficient in SQL and DBT for data transformation and modeling
• Solid hands-on experience with Snowflake - data warehouse platforms
• Strong understanding of data modeling techniques (e.g. star schema, dimensional modeling)
• Solid foundation in data architecture, including design of Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, and ETL frameworks
• Familiar with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices for data engineering (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Terraform)
• Experience in data product delivery, validation, and end-to-end pipeline deployment
• Comfortable working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Scala is a plus
• Experience with data governance, quality control, and security best practices

• Proficiency in English (mandatory)
• French is a plus
