Join our dynamic CoE Data & BI, a crucial segment of our larger Data Department, dedicated to transforming data into actionable, valuable insights for our business colleagues. We focus on cultivating a self-service data culture, implementing frameworks, and providing consultation to enable our colleagues to run analyses independently. We are building knowledge centers and fostering a community of data experts. We are currently seeking a motivated working student to bolster our team.

About the role

As a working student in our CoE Data & BI, you will play a pivotal role in:

• Collaborating with various team members to comprehend and analyse business requirements

• Assisting in the implementation of data analytics frameworks and tools to empower business colleagues to perform their analyses

• Providing consultation and trainings to colleagues on building and maintaining their data analytics & visualizations

• Participating in the creation and nurturing of knowledge centers within the business to foster a community of data experts

Your everyday tasks will include:

• User onboarding, access management and technical project setup within our data and BI environments

• Supporting in the implementation of data analytics frameworks

• Assisting in the data extraction and transformation

• Providing support and guidance to business colleagues on creating and maintaining their dashboards

• Maintenance of our Self-Service Analytics Hub

• Preparing and supporting user trainings

Your profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field 

• Passionate about data and data visualization

• Experience with BI Tools like PowerBI or Tableau and basic programming  skills for SharePoint maintenance 

• First experience with the data environments, e.g.  Data Lake, Databricks, SQL, Python, Big Data or Spark

• Strong communication skills with the ability to elucidate complex concepts in a clear, simple manner

• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities

• Self-driven and autonomous way of working and curiosity to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

• Fluent English skills, both written and spoken; German language skills are a plus
