Discover how we help individuals, families, institutions and governments raise, manage and distribute the capital they need to achieve their goals.This role is within Trade and Transaction Reporting Operations (TTRO)'s Diagnostic Testing Team, who are responsible for building data driven and fully automated controls in firm's technology systems. These tests are key control to measure the accuracy and completeness of Morgan Stanley's transaction reporting submissions. In addition, the team is developing data analytics and visualization tools, using PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau, SQL and Python - giving the accurate, timely and data driven insight to the senior management. There is also a requirement to centrally coordinate, manage and control this process across vendor and other geographical locations to ensure regulatory reporting exceptions are managed effectively. Given the ever-changing regulatory landscape, technology priorities are aligned to areas of maximum exposure and Operations are receiving the necessary rule guidance and interpretation from Compliance to support new and existing requirements effectively.

What will you be doing?
> Perform data analysis & visualizations using data science tools (PowerBI, Alteryx, SQL, MS Excel) to evidence the reporting trends across multiple regulatory regimes covering EMEA (MiFID, EMIR, SFTR), US (SEC, CFTC) and APAC (HKMA, ASIC, MAS).
> Build fully automated diagnostic tests in PanDQ covering multiple regulatory regimes.
> Investigate rule output, suggest necessary modifications and present the findings to the team leader.
> Work with cross division stakeholders (TTRO, Trade Support, Technology & Business Unit) to investigate the potential reporting issues and their root cause.
> Manage your own book of work and ensure your targets and SLAs around rule coding and break investigation are met.
> Participate on Industry working group (ISDA, FIA etc) process and take notes, manage the workflow of action points resulting from these forums.
> Be responsible for coordinating across multiple stakeholders such as RTB, Technology, Trade Support Groups (TSG), to undertake the appropriate remediation steps to resolve reporting issues seen in the Diagnostic Testing.
> Manage the Issue management (observations) book of work - and present the potential transaction reporting issues to TTRO and Compliance stakeholders
What we're looking for:
> Good knowledge of Transaction Reporting Regimes.
> Good knowledge of Securities and Derivative Products preferable. Including Listed Derivatives, FX, Commodities, Equity, Credit and Interest Rates.
> Working knowledge & experience of data analytics tool such as Alteryx, PowerBI, SQL, Python is preferred
> Strong proficiency in MS Excel & PowerPoint
> Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, including interfacing across all levels and with Vendors.
> Good verbal and written communication skills
> Good analytical and problem solving skills
> Ability to work to stringent deadlines
> Ability to partner with colleagues across functions and lead effectively across geographical boundaries
