PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

THE ROLE INVOLVES:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and develop data solutions that drive business value.
• Designing, implementing and maintaining data solutions.
• Collaborating with data analysts and data scientists.
• Designing and implementing data quality and governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy and reliability in the context of a data mesh architecture.

TECHNICAL PLAYGROUND:

• Strong expertise in Python, PySpark & SQL.
• Experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL DB, and Azure Synapse.
• Proficiency in designing efficient, robust, and automated data pipelines.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data engineering projects (preferably GitHub Actions).
• Proven experience with code version control tools like GIT.
• Ability to map business processes into data & analytics solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data & Analytics services to build data pipelines, data streams, and system integrations.
• Familiarity with preparing data for Data Science & Machine Learning applications.
• Ability to evaluate business needs and align data solutions with stakeholder objectives.
• Strong engagement with architects, data scientists, analysts, and peers.
• Experience mentoring and coaching junior data engineers.

• Familiarity with Azure Functions and Storage Accounts.
