Purpose of the Role
The Data Analyst will play a critical role in maintaining data integrity and supporting the Strategic Analysis and Insights Group (SAIG) within the CONSTANTINE project. The position ensures accurate data collection, entry, management, and confidentiality while contributing to process improvement and supporting the SAIG team’s broader objectives. This role is integral to the successful implementation of the CONSTANTINE project, ensuring the Strategic Analysis and Insights Group can maintain high standards of data accuracy and integrity across its operations.
What you'll be doing
- Enter data collected by ARK partners and programme delivery teams into SAIG databases.
- Maintain regular and systematic data filing, ensuring alignment with SAIG protocols.
- Monitor data entry progress and identify inaccuracies in Excel and ODK systems, reporting these issues to the SAIG team.
- Ensure that all hard copy data is accurately filed and managed.
- Uphold data confidentiality and protection in accordance with restrictions and guidelines set by the SAIG team.
- Respond directly to office and field teams regarding specific, limited information requests.
- Identify and propose improvements to information management processes to enhance accuracy and streamline workflows.
- Implement approved process improvements to optimise data handling and storage.
- Support the SAIG team by providing input on database development, in coordination with the Programme Manager.
Requirements
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in information management, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data entry and management.
- Familiarity with data management tools such as Excel and ODK (Open Data Kit).
- Experience working in projects with data confidentiality and protection requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with office and field teams.
- Proficiency in data management software and tools, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Commitment to maintaining data confidentiality and compliance with organisational policies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving project needs and priorities.
Desirable:
- Professional certifications in data management, such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or equivalent.
- Training or coursework in humanitarian or development programming, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Experience with additional data management tools, such as RStudio, Power BI, or GIS systems.
- Previous experience working on international projects.
- Working in security environment.
- Handling sensitive information.
