Sr Director, Commercial Analytics

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA required.
• 7+ years of experience leading marketing, customer, and web analytics in a B2B or omnichannel enterprise environment.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python or R, Tableau, and Adobe Analytics, with experience using customer data platforms (CDPs), data warehousing solutions, and voice-of-customer (VoC) platforms. Advanced certifications such as Data Science, PMP, or Six Sigma are a strong plus.
• Experience - B2B, data analysis, market trends, value-based pricing, dynamic pricing, pricing elasticity modeling, and understanding customer behavior, market dynamics, and competitor actions.

Job Summary

Lead the enterprise-wide strategy and execution of data-driven decision making across Marketing, eCommerce, and Sales. Drive actionable insights to accelerate customer acquisition, improve retention, enhance personalization, and inform long-term growth through advanced analytics, segmentation, and research. Champion analytics adoption across the commercial organization by embedding data-informed thinking into strategic planning and day-to-day execution.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

• Leads enterprise analytics strategy across marketing, digital, web, customer, and business development domains.
• Oversees the design and implementation of customer and campaign models (e.g., segmentation, CLV, churn, response) to measure and optimize performance.
• Partners with cross-functional leaders to translate insights into strategic plans and commercial action.
• Directs customer segmentation, targeting, and campaign performance analytics to maximize omnichannel ROI.
• Builds and operationalizes customer-specific ML models in partnership with business stakeholders.
• Develops frameworks to analyze market trends, monitor competition, and identify business development opportunities.
• Scales reporting, dashboards, and BI infrastructure to enable real-time, data-driven decision-making across commercial teams
• Builds and lead a high-performing analytics team, including both people managers and senior individual contributors.

Nature and Scope

• Problems are complex and may be defined by higher level leadership. Solutions require high strategic level analysis and investigation.
• Drives strategy and methodology and serves as the subject-matter expert for policies and practices. Decides how to achieve planned results within an organization's plans, policies, and guidelines.
• Manages via multiple layers OR directly supervises a staff of professional individual contributors at the senior or technical advisor level. Directs budgetary responsibility at the enterprise level or for two or more businesses across the enterprise.

Work Environment

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
• Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.

Education and Experience

• Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 9+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management/supervisory capacity.
