ROLE SUMMARY:

Within the CaLM / RepoClear First Line Risk department, the role will mainly focus on the development of the CaLM (Collateral and Liquidity Management) activity while still ensuring a backup role on the RepoClear sector. The primary functions of this role are:

  • Daily risk management of CaLM activity including the design and implementation of new controls
  • Implication in Default Management from a CaLM standpoint
  • Involvement in CaLM First Line Risk project
  • Be an efficient back up on all RepoClear related matters

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Daily risk monitoring on the CaLM activity
    • Monitor the collateral exposures and ensure that regular reports are produced to identify exceptional positions.
    • Alert the Head of RepoClear & CaLM Risk – SA regarding any exceptional risk situation.
    • Development of risk management techniques and tools
    • Implement the regular collateral Hair Cut review
    • Involvement in the implementation of “best practices” risk management, with regular reviews of processes and procedures, and that risk management practices remain within policy.
    • Involvement in policies and procedures implementation
    • Involvement in the production of papers to be presented to Risk governance
    • Be a key person on all matters relative to collateral risk management, for internal (second line risk, compliance…) and external stakeholders.
    • Propose improvements to the Head of RepoClear & CaLM Risk - SA regarding policies, reports and methods
  • Deep implication in default management
    • Design and implementation of Default management processes, tools and report.
    • Deep Involvement in the management of the Default process (DMP/DMG) alongside the Head of FLR RepoClear and CaLM
    • Deep Involvement in the definition of fire drills alongside the Head of FLR RepoClear and CaLM
  • Involvement in CaLM risk projects
    • Take part in the projects sponsored by or having an impact on the CaLM Risk team (extension of collateral, liquidity study, improvement of risk methodologies).
    • Involvement on development requirements and testing of the deliveries.
    • Involvement in the risk model design and evolution
    • Implementation of First Line Risk tools required in the context of the project
  • Back Up of RepoClear activity
    • Act as a backup on RepoClear daily management tasks
    • Act as a backup on RepoClear default management tasks

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Market Finance or Statistics degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in banking financial risk
  • Knowledge of the financial markets
  • Ability to work well within a team in multicultural environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French. Proficiency in English is a requirement
  • Experience using Python (Good coding skills)
  • Ability to question existing procedures, being able to point out weaknesses and suggest improvements challenging the status quo
  • Adaptability and proactive approach to challenges
  • Ability to understanding technical ecosystem workflows of the service
