We're seeking a Director of Analytics to lead and scale our analytics organization, overseeing both our analytics product development and embedded service teams. This leader will manage multiple teams building data-driven solutions that power our healthcare revenue cycle management products while providing critical insights across Product, Data Science and other company service lines including Finance, Customer Success, and Clinical Operations. The ideal candidate combines tactical know-how with hands-on analytics expertise and a long term vision, thriving in fast-paced environments where insight-driven decision making directly impacts business outcomes. The role reports to the Head of Data.

What You'll Do

  • Lead & Scale the Analytics Organization: Oversee and rapidly grow a team of managers and data analysts while maintaining high performance standards
  • Drive Strategic Vision: Develop and execute a comprehensive analytics strategy that aligns centralized product analytics teams with distributed, embedded service analysts across the organization
  • Expand Product Capabilities: Guide the analytics product team in developing new capabilities for additional healthcare verticals while ensuring scalability and quality
  • Foster Cross-Functional Excellence: Partner with company leaders to ensure analytics initiatives directly support business objectives
  • Champion Technical Excellence: Establish best practices for analysis, data visualization, and data analytics pipeline development across the SmarterDx data stack
  • Build High-Performance Culture: Coach and develop analytics leaders, creating career pathways and fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning
  • Drive Business Impact: Oversee mission-critical analytics projects with enterprise-wide implications, ensuring delivery aligns with company OKRs and strategic initiatives

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of analytics/data science experience with deep expertise in healthcare and/or revenue cycle management
  • 5+ years of management experience with 2+ years managing managers and/or leading both centralized and distributed teams
  • Proven track record of scaling analytics within rapidly growing organizations
  • Well established proficiency in SQL, Python, and statistical analysis with hands-on experience in modern data stacks
  • Demonstrated success building and launching analytics products that drive significant business value
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake preferred) and analytics tools (Hex, DBT, or similar)
  • Strong business acumen with ability to translate complex analytics into actionable insights for C-suite executives
  • Exceptional communication skills with proven ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Bachelor's or Master's in an analytics or data science related field; advanced degree preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a founder or early analytics leader at a high-growth startup
  • Domain expertise in healthcare revenue cycle management, claims processing, or medical billing
  • Experience with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) and regulatory requirements (HIPAA)
  • Track record of building self-service analytics platforms and data democratization initiatives
  • Experience managing both centralized and embedded analytics teams simultaneously

Compensation

$250,000 - $275,000 + equity here
