Job Description:

General Description:

The Senior Manager of Clinical Site Payments and Budgets Analytics is responsible for overseeing and optimizing key clinical site payments processes and systems relating to investigative grants payments in Greater China and JAPAC. This role provides strategic and executional support to the business with the goals of achieving accuracy in the configuration of budget templates and cost calculators for the issuance of payments to investigative sites. This position leads the planning and execution of site payments and budgets analysis through effective collaboration with CBO Leadership Team, CBO Budget Teams, Site Contracts Team, cross-functional stakeholders and business partners to ensure project deliverables and timelines relating to data analysis are met. The Senior Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing activities including leading the China payments team, addressing gaps in processes and deploying risk mitigation strategies.

Essential Functions of the job:

  • Methodologically applies critical analysis in the interpretation, analysis, and visualization of clinical site payments and budgets data from BeiGene sponsored trials.
  • Accurately interprets and analyzes site payments and budgets data to storyboard the analysis for Senior Leadership.
  • Acts as point of contact for stakeholders with questions relating to Greater China payments and JAPAC budgets data.
  • Provides guidance, training, and consultation for stakeholders on the payments and budgets data visualization tools.
  • Collaborates with leadership, immediate team, and other functional groups to align and optimize the accuracy of payments data extraction, cleaning, and analysis. Ā 
  • Applies strong technical expertise and skills to identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and simplification with the mindset of working smarter to create process optimization in site payments and budget data analysis.
  • Serves as the Subject Matter Expert on process improvements projects and compliance with timelines to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Leads and supports the implementation and maintenance of systems utilized for site payments administration.
  • Provides oversight and guidance to Greater China and JAPAC payments team day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Partners with leadership on the enhancement of payments dashboard, performance metrics management, tracking, and maintenance via Smartsheet and/or PowerBi.
  • Assesses knowledge and/or quality gaps of payments team and determine appropriate training/refresher training plans and/or needs in collaboration with management team.
  • Reviews, develops, and manages workflow and work process standards to ensure that payments activities are following regulatory and company requirements.
  • Participates in establishing departmental and cross-functional policies and procedures.
  • Provides site payment documentation for sponsor audits, as requested.
  • Understands and follow project specific and BeOne policies and procedures.
  • Generates investigative site payment reports for project team review (if applicable).
  • Liaise with Clinical Operations study teams regarding site payment issues.
  • Assists in the development and testing of CBO systems and standard processes.
  • Assists team with troubleshooting payment issues, in a timely fashion.
  • Identifies and works to deploy process improvements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

  • Working knowledge of clinical trial payment process and familiarity with investigator contracts, budgets, and payments; previous interaction with operational project teams and investigative sites preferred.
  • Demonstrated record of accomplishment in people management and leadership.
  • Public speaking - comfortable in delivering instruction to small -medium size groups.
  • Strong networking abilities and an ability/willingness to work with internal and external stakeholders across the globe.

Qualification Required:

Education Required:

Bachelor’s degree from an Accredited College, and at least 7 years’ experience in finance, biotech, pharmaceuticals, or a related field in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry

Computer Skills:Ā  Ā Advanced knowledge Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Power Point and MS Outlook; Smartsheet, SharePoint, MS Teams

Other Qualifications: Ā 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in data science, computer science or statistics
  • Significant experience in Oncology pharmaceutical/biotech industry
  • 7 years of experience in clinical site payments and budget data analysis and visualization including direct experience with Spotfire, tableau, and other data visualization tools
  • Prior experience with analytical/statistical data analysis tools (SAS, Python, SQL, and others)
