YOUR ROLE
As an HR Analytics Intern, you will support the Human Resources team by assisting with data-related tasks to help guide decision-making. This is a learning opportunity for someone interested in developing skills in HR and data analysis within the shipping industry. You will assist in collecting, organizing, and preparing HR data and gain exposure to tools and processes related to HR analytics.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?
• Data Support – Assist in preparing basic reports and updating Excel trackers with HR metrics such as headcount, turnover, and recruitment activity.
• Data Management – Help with data entry and updates in HR systems under supervision, ensuring information is up-to-date and accurate.
• Dashboard Maintenance – Support the HR team in maintaining existing dashboards and visual reports in tools like Excel or Power BI (training will be provided).
• Support HR Projects – Provide administrative support on HR projects, such as compensation reviews or employee surveys, mainly focused on gathering and organizing data.
• Reporting – Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for local and global HR and business stakeholders.
• Process Improvement – Propose and implement automation or process enhancements for HR data handling and reporting.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?
• Enrolled in Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree required (HR, Business, Analytics, or related)
• Project experience in HR, business or data is preferred
• Interest in HR and data, with a willingness to learn new tools and systems
• Highly organized, proactive, and capable of working independently and in a team setting
• Basic Excel skills (e.g., formulas, tables); any knowledge of Power BI or Qlik is a plus
• Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to support with data and reporting tasks
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proactive attitude and curiosity to learn and grow in a business environment
