WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

Role: 

We are seeking a talented Quality Control System Analyst to join our Quality Control team in a permanent position. The Quality Control System Analyst is responsible for creating and managing Power BI dashboards, developing custom data applications using frameworks like Python, Next.js, and Power Apps, and implementing AI-based visual inspection systems on the production line. This position plays a critical role in standardizing and improving quality processes across IQC, IPQC, and OQC by enabling better visibility, automation, and control. This role will report directly to the Quality Control Manager.   

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and Maintain Data Dashboards:  
    Design and manage interactive Power BI dashboards to visualize key quality metrics across IQC, IPQC, and OQC.  
    Ensure accuracy, accessibility, and scalability of reporting tools to support daily operations and decision-making.  
  • Build and Improve Data Applications:  
    Develop custom tools and applications using Python, Next.js, Power Apps, or other frameworks to streamline quality processes.  
    Automate manual workflows and standardize data collection across inspection points.  
  • Implement AI Visual Systems:  
    Lead the deployment and maintenance of AI-based visual inspection systems on the production line.  
    Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to train and optimize AI models for defect detection.  
  • Support Quality Process Improvement:  
    Analyze inspection and defect data to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.  
    Provide technical insights and tools that support root cause analysis and corrective actions.  
  • Ensure Data Integrity and Standardization:  
    Maintain clean, structured data pipelines for accurate reporting and analysis.  
    Create data standards and protocols for consistent reporting across teams and shifts.  
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally:  
    Work with stakeholders in Quality, Engineering, Production, and IT to align tools and data with business needs.  
    Provide training and support to end-users on new systems and dashboards.  

 

WHO YOU ARE: 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field  
  • +2 years of experience in data analytics, quality systems, or related technical roles in a manufacturing environment  
  • Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Excel for data visualization and reporting  
  • Experience developing applications using Python, JavaScript (e.g., Next.js), and/or Power Apps  
  • Familiarity with quality systems and manufacturing operations 
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.  

Preferred Qualifications:   

  • Experience implementing AI/ML solutions for defect detection or process monitoring  
  • Knowledge of manufacturing quality standards such as ISO 9001  
  • Understanding of IQC, IPQC, and OQC workflows and requirements  
  • Experience integrating data tools with ERP or MES systems

  • Ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders  
  • Organized and self-driven with strong project management abilities  
  • Skilled in identifying inefficiencies and designing scalable, automated solutions
