Assistant Manager, Risk Management Services

This is a role that requires incumbent to own & execute a variety of global processes related to compliance monitoring of engagements across Service Lines on Legal & Regulatory requirements & EY Policy requirements. The candidate should be comfortable working in an unstructured & complex environment requiring out of the box thinking, logical reasoning, sound verbal & written communication skills, ability to make prompt yet well informed decisions.

 

The opportunity

Global Compliance Engagement Testing (GCET) supports the Global Risk Management in conducting compliance testing across Service Lines. GCET program is an internal EY review process which includes selecting engagements of the PPEDs to test them on Legal & Regulatory compliances & internal EY policy compliances and providing feedback & ratings to the PPEDs basis the outcome of their review. The team also provides analytical reports consisting of outcome of compliance testing to Global, Area and Region stakeholders.

Accordingly, we are looking for an Assistant Manager to lead our Technology, Analytics, Insights, and Reporting team. The ideal candidate will be adept at making strategic decisions, leading a team of senior analysts, and driving automation initiatives. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to enhance our analytical capabilities and streamline reporting processes. This role requires a blend of technical acumen, analytical expertise, and the ability to communicate insights effectively. Large amounts of data are available to potentially highlight risks, hidden patterns, correlations and other relevant insights. With today’s technology, we can explore the analysis of data and obtain answers and indicators. 

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Oversee the strategic direction of the Technology, Analytics, Insights, and Reporting team, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of senior analysts, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Drive the automation of data processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of analytics and reporting functions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into actionable data-driven strategies.
  • Develop and maintain advanced analytical frameworks, reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Champion the adoption of new technologies and analytical tools within the organization, staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Ensure the integrity and quality of data through robust data governance and management practices.
  • Present complex analytical findings and strategic insights to senior management and stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Manage the team's project portfolio, prioritize initiatives, and ensure timely delivery of analytics solutions.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the company's data strategy, including data architecture, modelling, and analytics roadmaps.
  • Lead a team of analysts and seniors to design, develop, and maintain advanced reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support business objectives.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to define data requirements, ensuring data integrity and accuracy across the organization.
  • Spearhead the development of sophisticated data models and databases to underpin analytics initiatives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions and innovation
  • Provide expert-level support and training for analytics tools and platforms, including advanced troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance analytics methodologies and toolsets.

 

Skills and attributes for success

Technical attributes: lysis Fundamentals:

  • Proven track record of leading teams and driving strategic decisions through data analytics.
  • Strong expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent MS Excel skills, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and basic data manipulation techniques
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis - principles and methodologies
  • Excellent knowledge of statistical concepts and the ability to perform simple statistical analyses
  • Understanding of collaboration and productivity tools like Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, or similar.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and extensive experience with database management systems.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Post-graduate or equivalent degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Data Science or related field from a reputed college
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in a data analytics/business intelligence role/ data analysis and reporting.
  • Certifications in analytics tools such as AWS Certified Big Data – Specialty, Tableau Desktop Certified Professional, Microsoft Power BI Certification is preferrable.

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Knowledge on difference between risk management attributes

 

Technologies and Tools

  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or Looker
  • Proficiency in BI tools like Microsoft Power BI, IBM Cognos, or Oracle BI
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel - use of formulas, pivot tables, and basic data manipulation techniques
  • Skilled in MS Office suites like Microsoft 365, PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, SharePoint, or Microsoft Azure
  • Strong skills in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or Scala.
  • Proficiency in analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or Mixpanel.
