Head of Data Science and Product Management, Vice President

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a Head of Data Science and Product Management, Vice President, who will be responsible for all Artificial Intelligence initiatives from ideation to production across the entire audit life cycle including planning, execution and reporting.  This role will also be responsible for the product management of key audit applications that drive efficiency, consistency and leverage design thinking principles. 

In this role, you will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Digital, Analytics and Innovation, and you will support the digitization of annual audit planning, risk assessment, scoping, execution and reporting across the entire global function.

What you will be responsible for

As the head of Data Science and Product Management, Vice President you will

• Lead the data science practice by building a framework for artificial intelligence within the audit function that delivers efficiency, improves the audit experience, reduces risk and keeps the bank safe.
• Drive transformational problem-solving for Corporate Audit by delivering new data products to market.
• Lead ideation sessions across Corporate Audit to identify and solution artificial intelligence opportunities that span the entire audit life cycle.
• Collaborate with IT to develop products that enhance the audit experience through digitization and automation.    
• Leverage data to drive proactive risk management.
• Support the execution of a risk-based data driven audit plan.
• Influence effective and sustainable improvements to processes and controls through insights gained based on risk and control expertise.
• Through technology, define and execute a plan to drive continuous auditing using artificial intelligence and automation.
• Manage a professional team of data specialists to provide thought leadership and advise Corporate Audit stakeholders on analytical solutions to address assurance needs.
• Digitize audit reporting capabilities that serve the entire organization.
• Provide insight on the evolving regulatory environment.
• Stay abreast of industry advancements in Artificial Intelligence.

What we value

• Ability to manage complexity, effectively prioritize multiple tasks and work independently in non-routine situations and in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid understanding of design, development, and implementation of data science solutions into production.
• Excellent analytical, problem resolving, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated experience in managing diverse teams, and large-scale projects.
• Strong client relationship.
• Fluency in English - written and spoken

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• 10 plus years of experience in data solutions and applying data techniques
• 10 plus years of experience in bringing artificial intelligence solutions to life
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics or data science

Additional requirements

While majority of the time you will work from your primary location, some domestic and international travel may be required to a variety of locations where State Street operates.
