What’s the role?

An exciting opportunity is available for a Data Engineer to join the WIB Digital team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data solutions that support the entire customer lifecycle—from pre-sales and onboarding through to delivery, retention, and strategic consulting. Your contributions will enable data-driven decision-making and enhance the impact and effectiveness of analytics across client engagements.

You will work with pre-sales teams to understand client needs and design strong data pipelines and systems to support custom analytics solutions. In addition, you will collaborate with the analytics team to build, optimize, and maintain data products that deliver meaningful and actionable insights to customers.

What do I need?

• Experience in building and maintaining data pipelines, data models, and engineered features to support analytics and machine learning use cases.
• Strong experience in data sourcing, ETL processes, and building data pipelines, including integration with enterprise data warehouses
• Programming languages: SQL, Python and/or R (Python preferred). 
• Experience with use of complex SQL joins and SQL tuning.
• Familiarity with agile delivery environments and associated tools such as Confluence, JIRA, and Bitbucket.
• Demonstrated attention to detail through the execution of precise QA checks and validation processes.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, and holding relevant Azure certifications is advantageous.
• Exposure to financial services data, particularly in banking and payments, with an understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations.
• Work closely with analytics, product, and business stakeholders to ensure data solutions align with client needs and strategic goals
