About the team
Protecting our customers and business from fraud is at the heart of what we do. Youâll join our dedicated Fraud Risk Analytics team of 5 (within our Credit Risk department of c.60 FTE) working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your ideas can make a real impact.Â
Weâre responsible for designing and delivering fraud prevention strategies that tackle threats across the full customer journey, from new credit applications to account takeovers and emerging fraud trends. We combine data, insight, and innovation to keep our customers safe and minimise loss.Â

About the Role
As a Senior Fraud Risk Strategy Analyst, youâll use data to spot fraud risks and develop smart, effective solutions to stop them.Â
Key Responsibilities:Â
- Analyse fraud trends and behaviours using large datasets to inform strategy.Â
- Design, test, and implement fraud rules and controls to protect our customers and the business.Â
- Monitor the performance of fraud strategies, spotting opportunities for improvement.Â
- Deliver clear, compelling insights and recommendations to stakeholders across the business.Â
- Collaborate closely with our operational fraud prevention team (based in Bolton and Speke) and wider Credit Risk colleagues.Â
- Manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, balancing day-to-day analysis with longer-term strategic improvements.Â
Youâll have the freedom to make critical decisions, see their impact quickly, and contribute directly to shaping how we protect our customers and brands.Â
About you
Weâre looking for someone who is naturally curious, analytical, and ready to challenge the status quo. Â
Youâll have:Â
- A degree in a numerate subject (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or similar).Â
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL, SAS, Python or equivalent - you can interrogate large datasets with confidence.Â
- Advanced Excel skills.Â
- Experience with fraud strategy, credit risk, or related analytics (experience with FICO Blaze Advisor or other decision engines is a plus).Â
- Excellent problem-solving skills - you enjoy untangling complex issues and turning analysis into clear, actionable recommendations.Â
- Great communication skills - youâre comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions.Â
- A collaborative, adaptable approach - you thrive in a fast-changing environment with multiple moving parts.Â
