As part of the Connected Aviation unit within Collins Aerospace’s Avionics Business Unit, our team is pioneering a suite of advanced analytics solutions that empower airlines to anticipate maintenance needs, reduce operational disruptions, and optimize fleet performance. We’re seeking a Project Manager – PHM Analytics to drive product-level strategy and execution, leading a team of PHM engineers to develop innovative analytics tools that redefine aircraft maintenance. With strong business acumen, you’ll manage budgets, timelines, and customer expectations to deliver high-value solutions that meet the needs of global aviation customers.

In this role, you will provide strategic leadership, technical oversight, and product vision to deliver a portfolio of PHM analytics solutions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Science, to develop PHM models, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with customer needs and business objectives. What You Will Do:

  • Lead a team of PHM engineers to develop and deliver a suite of predictive analytics solutions, driving product-level decisions to meet customer and business goals.

  • Participate to the Digital Alliance with Airbus and all its industry members as the Technical delegate for Collins Aerospace

  • Collaborate with Data Science to prioritize features and ensure alignment with market needs.

  • Leverage strong business acumen to manage budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring successful product development and delivery.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to PHM engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers to understand their maintenance needs and deliver high-value analytics solutions.

  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscapes to position the PHM analytics portfolio for long-term success.

  • Undertake ad-hoc duties or projects assigned by leadership to support business objectives.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations, OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience, OR in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in product development, preferably in predictive analytics or aviation-related fields.

  • Deep understanding of developing predictive analytics for commercial aircraft, with broad knowledge of major aircraft systems (e.g., pneumatic, hydraulics, flight controls, electrical power, avionics systems, air conditioning).

  • Understanding of different aircraft data types (DAR, QAR, ACMS report, sensors…)

  • Python software development experience.

  • Strong business acumen, with experience managing budgets, timelines, and customer expectations.

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences at all organizational levels.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in the avionics or aerospace industry, with expertise in aircraft maintenance and predictive health management (PHM) methodologies.

  • Familiarity with data analytics, machine learning, or PHM applications in aviation.

  • Demonstrated success in managing data science teams and delivering complex, customer-facing analytics products.

  • Familiarity with Airbus Skywise environment is a Plus

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools, including Jira and Azure DevOps.

  • Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile, SAFe) are a plus.
