GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION SYSTEM / SPATIAL DATA ANALYST[What you will be working on]
This role focuses on processing and analysing complex spatial datasets to extract meaningful insights and patterns including generating comprehensive maps, visualisations, and generating reports to communicate spatial analysis findings.
This role would also require the design and implementation of GIS solutions to address specific business needs and operational challenges by collaborating with stakeholders to understand their requirements and propose suitable GIS solutions.
The job scope includes maintenance of detail spatial databases, ensuring data quality, compliance with standard operating procedures and system integrity; system upgrading and support integration of GIS data with other platforms such as BIM system.
[What we are looking for]
- Knowledge in any discipline, preferably in Geographic Information Systems, Geomatics, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field
- Strong understanding of GIS concepts, spatial analysis techniques, and cartographic principles
- Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and spatial databases
- Experience in data analysis and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Knowledge of Python programming for automation and spatial analysis would be advantageous
- Familiarity with BIM software and integration methods would be a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
