The Department of Academic Services is seeking a professional with data analytics and statistical expertise to amalgamate Graduate Employment Survey findings into the broader Student Outcomes analyses.

[What you will be working on]

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage timeline of each Graduate Employment Survey (GES) cycle and coordinate/engage relevant stakeholders within Singapore Polytechnic to ensure tasks are delivered on time and to the required standards.  
  • Undertake the running, collation, analysis, and presentation of annual GES reporting within Singapore Polytechnic.
  • Take charge as the leading Polytechnic to coordinate the other 4 Polytechnics, once every 5 GES cycles.
  • Provide strategic analyses and meaningful insights on Student Outcomes and queries related to PIQAF and other MOE-related policies, by referencing additional data sources on top of GES.
  • Lead/provide support in other regular statistical and analytics work in Academic Services.

[What we are looking for]

Job Requirements

  • Strong domain knowledge
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in understanding and managing student data, preferably with a good grasp of MOE and SP’s academic policies and operating model
  • Competency in producing statistical data, analyzing it and drawing and communicating insights to influence decision-making
  • Ability to understand and select the appropriate statistical approach to inform and drive decision-making and the knowledge to produce the relevant analytics and present it cogently
  • Competency in using visualization tools like Power BI, as well as programming language such as Python, so as to be able to undertake more advanced simulation / predictive studies to inform policy decisions
  • Good communication skills and ability to effectively engage in solutioning with key stakeholders

Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
