The following restrictions apply to all internship candidates:

  • Applicants must be available for a non-negotiable start date of Wednesday, May 8, 2024.
  • Applicants must be 18 years or older.
  • Applicants must have housing accommodations or transportation in the Calgary area, as Precision does not provide internship housing.
  • By May 8, 2024, applicants must have completed at least their first year of study in a post-secondary program/Technical Institute (see job posting). 


Summary

The Rig Technology Data Analyst will report out of the Calgary office and will be required to support and generate creative solutions to Precision’s business problems through the utilization and analysis of data.

 

Responsibilities

  • Data Evaluation and Monitoring
  • Data Quality Review
  • End-user (Front-end) deliverables
  • Collaboration across business lines
  • Readily communicates status, challenges encountered, and potential solutions
  • Willingness to learn relational database queries and generate solutions
  • Owning tasks to completion
  • Willingness to be present in the corporate office every day to interface with the team

 

Knowledge & Skills

Experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, JSON

Relational Databases

Familiarity with front-end solutions like PowerBI and Grafana

Advanced math and science courses

 

Education

Currently enrolled in a degree program specializing in Engineering, Computer Science, or Advanced Math & Sciences

 

Experience

Experience with Python, SQL

Undergraduate degree (or in pursuit of) or equivalent experience
