About this role:

Wells Fargo Finance Data Domain Management (FDDM) is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the firm's Data Management Policy and Procedures and ongoing Data Governance across the Finance organization. FDDM is seeking a Lead Data Management Analyst to help drive Data Management Policy and Procedure Implementation by leading key initiatives and partnering with senior stakeholders. The candidate should have solid hands-on experience with data risk and controls and issue management.


In this role, you will:

  • Organize and lead FDDMs Data Governance Execution related controls and issue management.

  • Partner with broader controls and issue oversight team and automation lead to monitor corrective actions and control execution

  • Oversee analysis and reporting in support of Data Management Policy and Procedure implementation, Issue Management, and controls execution

  • Provide requirements for analytics and reporting related to controls execution and issue management

  • Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of data governance standards and procedures

  • Lead project teams and mentor less experienced staff members

  • Recommend remediation of process or control gaps that align to management strategy

  • Serve as relationship manager for non-Finance stakeholders including Data Management and Insights, and Finance Business Controls Management

  • Consult with and provide recommendations to senior management regarding assessments of the current state of data and metadata quality within area of assigned responsibility

  • Represent FDDM in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies

  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to coordinate and drive collaboration on solution design and remediation execution


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Wells Fargo's Data Governance practices

  • Experience with data related risk identification and controls

  • Knowledge of Data Management best practices

  • Strong Executive communication skills

  • Ability to operate as a self-starter in dynamic environment
