BI Developer and Project Manager

We are now looking for a new BI Developer and Project Manager in our IT team.

As part of the team, you will advance the data and analytics agenda at Investor while also programming and developing. Your role includes both operational and strategic tasks, working individually and with colleagues across Investor.

Key responsibilities include:

Design and develop BI solutions that support business decisions. Model data to ensure efficient and accurate data management. Develop and maintain both frontend and backend components of BI systems ensuring a holistic view ad usage of the platform. Implement and follow agile methods, including serving as project manager when needed.

Skills and experience

Data Modelling: Demonstrated experience in creating and managing data models, including ER diagrams and dimensional models, following BI best practices and patterns like star schema.

Frontend Development: Expertise in tools such as Power BI for designing insightful data visualizations and ensuring user experience and security in Power BI services.

Backend Development: Experience with SQL Server, a strong understanding of ETL processes, and familiarity with tools such as Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL

Agile Methods: Experience in agile methods and improvement of workflows, including leading sprint activities and projects.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills for translating business needs into data-driven solutions.

Further qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in data science, or other academic degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience of development and project management.

The BI developer and Project Manager role reports to the Head of IT.
