Here, you’ll turn your passion into reality. In this role, you will contribute to lead, drive, design and implement cutting edge Data and AI solutions to accelerate Data Product capabilities to uplift Retail Bank Domain Data Landscape and excellence in our ambitious AI Journey.
You will work closely with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams across a specific Retail Bank domain (multiple roles available), Data Community and wider Retail Banking Services domain to ensure best customer and business outcomes are achieved via Strategic Data Product Methodology

As we continue our pursuit of NPS +30 we need to transform the way we engage with our customers and support communities and people. Retail Advanced Analytics and Data (RAAD) team works closely with the Retail Banking Services domain to enable best practices in Data, Advanced Analytics and AI.
As a community of Data and Advanced Analytics professionals, we have diverse backgrounds and industry experience, with in-depth knowledge of structured and unstructured data, and Advanced Analytics techniques. We combine these with our Business Acumen to deliver innovative solutions enabling data driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive the creation and delivery of high-quality, reusable data products for a specific Retail Bank domain
Lead in collaboration with assigned crews within a specific Retail Bank domain in delivering against data strategies, drive roadmaps and business priorities.
Collaborate with Crew’s Product Owners to define vision and strategy of a specific Retail Bank domain's Data Products
Embed Data Management Considerations as the squad delivers Data Products and adherence to minimum expectations
Work with Domain Data Product Lead to chart out Crew Level outcomes for Data Product Journey.
Validate Data Product Metadata, Access Classification and Data Guardrails
Manage and maintain legacy Critical Data Element documentation and Alation upkeep.
Liaise with RBS Data Office on guidelines, scoring thresholds, risk controls, and the Delivery Playbook, and meet CDAO standards around data management, design, and metadata
Standardise and scale the production of efficient, re-usable data products. Providing critical business context for Data Products to ensure they meet the needs of stakeholders and users
Strengthen producer-consumer data relationships across BUs/SUs and act Crew‘s conduit for Data Product Management and Data Risk Management
Driving improvement of new or existing Data Products where uplift is required e.g., if it is no longer fit-for-purpose or does not meet the scoring threshold
Promote best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning in data within your Domain
Work with Domain leads to implement and adhere to group’s Data Management Policy across your Domain
We will be interested in people with:
Proven experience leading data initiatives, with a core background in Data Engineering, Architecture.
Expertise in data governance, metadata management, data product focused mindset and business-aligned data strategy.
Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional leadership experience.
Experience in Data Cloud migration and exposure to AWS eco system would be desirable.
Technical Skills and Tools:
People Management : Demonstrated experience in working with wide set of stakeholders in and large technical teams in Data Engineering, Advanced Analytics and Data Management.
Technical Leadership: Deep technical expertise in data management, data engineering, stewardship and cloud migration with focus on AWS Cloud will be desirable.
Tooling: A core background in data engineering along with decent exposure to managing hands-on tools such as Python, SQL, and key AWS integration packages.
Cloud Architecture: Demonstrated experience in developing, deploying, and monitoring on AWS infrastructures.
CI/CD: Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub is desirable.
