Job Description :

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the direct line manager for a chapter of Data Analysts, fostering their professional growth and specialist expertise through continuous coaching, mentorship, and on-the-job development.
  • Guide your chapter in transforming data into insights that help to improve the value of the business.
  • Collaborate to establish and implement standard ways of working, analytical frameworks, and best practices to ensure the chapter produces repeatable, interpretable, and insightful analysis.
  • Propose solutions and strategies to address business challenges, both individually and through the work of your chapter.
  • Champion a collaborative and positive chapter environment, facilitating knowledge sharing and a culture of continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand their needs and guide your chapter in delivering impactful analytical solutions.
  • Use effective data storytelling techniques to coach your team in communicating answers to complex problems in a clear and compelling way.
  • Conduct regular performance check-ins (quarterly) and annual performance reviews, focusing on growth and constructive feedback.
  • Assess chapter member capabilities to inform workforce planning, recruitment, and talent development strategies.
  • Serve as an active, hands-on member of an agile squad (approx. 30% of your time), contributing directly to the squad's goals and deliverables.
  • Share your passion for data and analytics with the broader enterprise community.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline required.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a data analytics, or business intelligence role.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in a leadership, mentorship, or coaching role. Formal management experience is a strong asset.
  • Must have proficiency in writing complex SQL queries.
  • Experience working with large data sets using SQL and Python.
  • Experience with data visualization tools is required — e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Agile/Digital Experience:

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Openness to working in Agile environments with multiple stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to understand business partner needs and deliver solutions.
