Senior AI Engineer - Brussels - ASAP Start - Freelance / CDI

Company Description

We are currently looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join our partners Software Delivery Center of Excellence (SDCoE),  supporting the development of intelligent, agent-driven solutions that enhance software delivery processes across the enterprise.

The engineer will play a key role in designing and implementing AI/ML models and agentic architectures, integrating with tools like Jira, Bitbucket, and optimizing DevSecOps and SDLC workflows. This is a high-impact role requiring both deep technical expertise and a strategic mindset.

Job Description

• Develop and deploy AI/ML models and agentic workflows using frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or Semantic Kernel.
• Integrate LLMs (e.g., Claude, Gemini, Mistral) via APIs to enhance automation and decision-making.
• Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) for querying documentation (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Build multi-agent coordination patterns (e.g., planner-executor, supervisor-worker).
• Automate workflows by integrating with Jira, Bitbucket, Git, and MS Teams.
• Analyze logs, time series, and event data to identify bottlenecks and optimize delivery pipelines.
• Ensure observability and auditability of AI agents through cloud logging and tracing.

Qualifications

• At least 1 reference project in Machine Learning.
• At least 2 reference projects in Generative AI, preferably including Agentic AI.
• Strong experience with API integration, vector databases, prompt engineering, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with agile and scrum methodologies.
• Fluent in English.
