We are looking for a detailed Research Fellow(RF) that supports the project titled Proposal and theoretical development of chip-scale chirped-pulse amplification systems.
The RF will work on the project for the theoretical development of the chip-scale chirped-pulse amplification systems. The roles will include:
Key Responsibilities:
Theoretical and designs of photonic dispersion control strategies
Conceptual development in amplification functionalities within the system
Development of inverse design frameworks using machine learning
Development of full simulation for the chip-scale chirped-pulse amplification
Use the full simulation to guide system fabrication taking into consideration fabrication constraints
Job Requirements:
PhD in optical engineering or related field
Experience in semiconductor fabrication
Significant theoretical knowledge in dispersive optics and amplification
Ability to publish in academic journals, and present in conferences
Ability to work well in a team, and collaborate with other research groups
Production of photonic layouts using gdsfactory
Knowledgeable in MATLAB and Python is necessary
Knowledgeable in Ansys Lumerical FDTD, MODE, INTERCONNECT, CML COMPILER, MULTIPHYSICS
Prior experience in the above will be a bonus
