About Longhorn Wellness Center

The Longhorn Wellness Center (LWC) is a department in the Division of Student Affairs that promotes student and campus well-being through programs, education, health messages, student engagement and collaboration.

Purpose

The LWC is hiring for a Data Analysis Graduate Student Assistant to support the Longhorn Wellness Center in its assessment and program evaluation efforts. The student in this role will analyze and report on qualitative and quantitative data collected by staff and students.

Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis: Pulling and analyzing data on a regular basis using various software, including Microsoft Word, Qualtrics, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Data Management: Assist in developing systems for organizing survey data to aid in interpretation and decision-making.
  • Report Writing: Assist with interpreting findings and creating reports intended for various audiences including program coordinators and external partners.
  • Quality Improvement: Assist with identifying improvements in survey tools and methods.
  • Meetings: Participate and collaborate with staff during meetings including taking notes and contributing to discussions.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks associated with evaluation and assessment projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, social work, or other social science field.
  • Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours in a UT Austin graduate program.
  • Evaluation and report creating skills.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience (e.g. coursework, projects) in assessment and evaluation
  • Interest in evaluating health and well-being programs
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative on starting and following up on projects. 

Salary Range

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Working Conditions

  • Typical office environment
  • May work outside of typical business hours

Work Shift

  • The position is expected to work 10 hours per week.
  • This position starts in August 2025 and is expected to continue through the 2025-2026 academic year. 
  • Hours will be primarily completed onsite with some opportunities for remote work.
