Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

The Data Analyst is responsible for leveraging advanced data analysis and reporting tools to drive strategic decisions and improve operational efficiency. This role requires strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from large, relational databases, as well as the ability to build intuitive, impactful dashboards and reports in Power BI.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can translate ambiguous business questions into clear analytical approaches, collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, and deliver actionable insights that support key initiatives across the organization.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence.
  • Proficient in SQL for querying, transforming, and analyzing large datasets; experience writing complex joins, stored procedures, and performance-optimized queries.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI for building dashboards, creating data models, and visualizing insights to support business decision-making.
  • Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent work experience required. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Ability to define reporting standards, develop reusable data models, and implement scalable reporting frameworks.
  • Experience developing analytical workflows and repeatable processes for data presentation and interpretation.
  • Strong collaboration skills; able to work cross-functionally with stakeholders to define reporting needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Experience maintaining and improving reporting systems and processes; able to troubleshoot and optimize existing reporting assets.
  • Skilled in relational databases and business intelligence tools; experience with varied database applications and analytical platforms.
  • Knowledge in fair housing and local real estate laws, where applicable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented, with the ability to produce high quality work in a deadline-oriented environment and an ability to multi-task
  • Ability to prove critical thinking and problem solving concepts
  • Ability to thrive in a high volume, data entry and processing work environment, where applicable

Essential Job Functions:

  • 60% Perform data analysis on large, complex datasets using SQL, Power BI, and other analytical tools to generate actionable insights and reporting solutions.
  • 20% Collaborate with stakeholders, business partners, colleagues, developers, and business analysts to deliver high quality analytic solutions and strategic insights
  • 10% Cleanse, validate, and test data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of outputs.
  • 5% Support enhancements and modifications to existing reporting systems, data processes, and procedures.
  • 5% Other duties, as assigned by supervisor or leadership team.

Key Metrics & Responsibilities:

  • Development of documentation and SOP
  • Successful completion of projects assigned
