Your Impact
We are seeking a highly skilled Director of BI Engineering with a technical focus to lead the development and optimization of our data infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for building and managing the analytical layer of our data platform, transforming raw business data into clean, accessible, and actionable insights. You will lead a team that ensures the seamless aggregation, transformation, and storage of data, while automating processes to enable real-time reporting and data-driven decision-making across the organization. What You'll Do:Ā
- Lead the design and development of a centralized data infrastructure, focusing on building and maintaining anĀ efficient analytical layer that aggregates, transforms, and stores business data in a single source of truth
- Design and implement data models and analytical schemas to support complex business queries and reporting needs, ensuring data is structured effectively for analysis
- Oversee and guide the development of Looker (LookML) and DOMO, ensuring high-quality data models and reporting needs, while providing hands on support to the team
- Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to build scalable data pipelines and integrate data from multiple sources into a unified system
- Drive the automation of data collection, cleaning, and transformation processes, to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and real time accessibility
- Define the technical architecture for data storage solutions, optimizing them for querying and reporting in alignment with business objectives
- Lead efforts to reduce manual data work and improve data accessibility for key stakeholders across the organization
- Ensure data integrity and quality through robust validation techniques, error-checking processes, and troubleshooting mechanisms
- Work with business leaders to define data requirements, ensuring technical solutions meet business goals and provide a reliable foundation for decision-making
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of BI developers and BI engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence in business intelligence
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in data engineering, bringing innovative solutions to evolve the data infrastructure

Who You Are:Ā
- 10+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data infrastructure development, ideally with experience in digital advertising, eCommerce, or similar data-heavy industries
- Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and experience with BI tools (e.g., DOMO, Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
- Deep experience with cloud platforms (e.g., BigQuery, AWS) and data pipeline technologies (e.g., Apache Airflow, dbt, Spark)
- Proven track record of building scalable data infrastructure that supports analytical workflows and decision-making
- Expertise in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data automation, and managing large-scale data systems
- Experience in designing data models and analytical schemas to enable efficient querying and reporting across multiple business functions
- Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders and technical teams, to ensure alignment on data needs and goals
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on optimizing performance, reducing bottlenecks, and increasing operational efficiency
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelorās degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field. Masterās degree preferred
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with data warehousing solutions and business intelligence tools
- Experience with digital advertising platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads Manager, or Affiliate Marketing systems)
- Experience in defining and managing KPIs and metrics in a data-driven environment
- Experience in leading a team of data engineers and analysts, including mentoring, guiding, and developing talentĀ

The base salary for this role is between $168,000 - $204,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.Ā
