We’re hiring a Project Manager I - Algorithms & Inference at our Corporate Headquarters in Columbia, MO and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. This position is fully remote.
Data is at the core of both our rental business and our SaaS offerings. We differentiate from our competitors via our data and what we build with that data. The Algorithms and Inference mission is to build data, machine learning, AI and applied science systems to improve processes and enable new capabilities.
In this role, you will manage the team’s project portfolio to include schedules, progress tracking, and coordination; and handle various administrative functions. You will also be responsible for being the eyes and ears of your team, identifying and escalating risks and issues as they arise.
Salary range: $70k-$80k. Factors including past experience and location may affect final compensation rate.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure large-scale projects stay on track
- Manage and document incoming requests and inquiries to the department
- Assist in executing smaller tasks that contribute to larger project goals
- Define project scope and objectives in alignment with business goals
- Forecast resource needs and manage them efficiently
- Create and maintain detailed project plans and schedules
- Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, including strategy shifts, progress reports, and key milestones
- Monitor project performance to identify and implement improvement
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for all initiatives, including business and technical documentation
- Conduct research and propose actionable ideas to support company initiatives
- Calculate and communicate ROI for team-led projects
- Collaborate with field operations to understand workflows and gain buy-in for initiatives
- Most importantly, contribute wherever needed to help the Algorithms and inference team stay focused on analysis and deliver projects efficiently

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects with competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; confident in representing leadership
- Experience creating management-level presentations
- Adaptability and flexibility as project scope, timelines, and priorities evolve
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with basic functions in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- Experience working cross-functionally and influencing teams without direct authority
Preferred, but not Required:
- Basic knowledge of SQL
- Experience with Looker or similar BI tools
- Experience with software development life cycle models
- Experience with Jira, Shortcut, Monday, or similar tools
- Experience with UML or similar conventions and diagramming tools (Lucid Chart, Figma, Excalidraw, etc.)
Education and Experience:
- At least 1 years project management experience
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
