XML Developer

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled XML Developer to support our use of IMOS, a specialized furniture design and production software. The role involves developing and maintaining XML-based configurations and data exchange workflows between IMOS and other internal systems such as ERP, CNC machines, and product databases. Your work will directly impact how design data is translated into accurate production-ready formats.

• Develop and manage XML structures, templates, and transformation scripts to support IMOS configurations and integrations.
• Customize data exports/imports to interface IMOS with other systems such as ERP, PLM, or CNC software.
• Interpret product specifications and translate them into XML-based configurations within IMOS.
• Collaborate with design, production, and IT teams to automate and streamline furniture design-to-production workflows.
• Maintain XML documentation, including schemas (XSD), stylesheets (XSLT), and mapping specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve XML-related errors in data output, machine code generation, or system integration.
• Support updates to IMOS modules as the software evolves and new furniture products are introduced.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong experience in XML, XSLT, XSD, XPath, and data mapping.
• 2+ years of relevant experience working in XML development or data integration roles.
• Ability to read and understand technical design documents.
• Strong attention to detail, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

• Experience working with IMOS (furniture or cabinet design software) or other CAD/CAM platforms (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp).
• Background or understanding of furniture design, manufacturing processes, or CNC production.
• Familiarity with integration to ERP or manufacturing systems (e.g., SAP, Odoo, or similar).
