Role Overview

The International Accounting Manager will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the accounting and finance operations for Harvey’s international entities, including our UK subsidiary and future global subsidiaries. This individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards, supporting the month-end close process, and driving the development and implementation of scalable accounting processes and controls. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with a passion for building and optimizing global finance functions in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and month-end/year-end close processes for all international subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local and US GAAP/IFRS standards, including reconciliations, consolidations, and intercompany transactions.

  • Prepare, review, and approve journal entries; develop and maintain account reconciliation workpapers; and prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.

  • Collaborate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors in each jurisdiction to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax filings, and audits, while staying current on changes in international accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.

  • Develop, document, and implement robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls tailored to each country’s regulatory environment, and drive process improvements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and scalability.

  • Support the establishment and onboarding of new international subsidiaries, including setting up banking, payroll, and accounting systems, and assist with cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting for international entities.

  • Participate in US-based accounting activities as needed, supporting the overall finance function and contributing to company-wide financial initiatives.

What You Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification strongly preferred.

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in an international or multi-entity environment.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS

  • Experience working in a start-up or high-growth company, ideally in the technology or SaaS sector.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and optimize accounting processes and controls across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and Google Docs; experience with Netsuite, Ramp, Rippling, and Zip preferred.

  • Excellent writing, oral communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills; strong problem-solving abilities and project management experience; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
