We are currently looking for an experienced, motivated, and creative individual to fill the position for the PMO ARO Manager. This position will focus on Idle Well Regulatory Compliance and ARO across all CRC assets and will report to our Bakersfield, CA office.
The base annual salary for this posted position is expected to range from $100K - $130K, with a target annual bonus of 15 - 20% of base salary and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program. Individual pay factors, including education, experience level and relevant industry experience. Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K with Match, Paid Holidays, FSA, HSA.
Position Focus Areas:
- Reduce ARO NPV reported in annual 10K
- Developing Business process and data quality checks across CRC core systems to ensure accurate regulatory and idle well management compliance solutions
- Ensure Business plans is optimized for maximum savings and cost efficiencies
- Track and manage abandonment rig and CTU fleet
- Collaborate with service providers to ensure safe and efficient field activity
- Develop and implement processes for key decision making needed to idle well test or P&A wells for maximum NPV value
- Develop and implement processes to screen Idle wells for alternative solutions to P&A wells that reduces cash spend and overall NPV of the ARO
- Actively manage and collaborate with finance and production accounting to ensure alignment of ARO team for yearly audit process
- Develop audit documentation for ARO
- Identify and correct major process gaps for collaboration with key stakeholders
- Act as key collaborator for communicating and integrating ARO plans and strategies to the RMTs
Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance/ Reporting-
- Improve data quality and work with stakeholders to address well issues in ARO models
- Ensure ARO execution plans are in line with fiancé ARO 10K calculations
- Work with ARO execution team to ensure processes are set up for internal and external reporting
- Identify idle well data quality issues and create process and controls to address issues
- Metric and track data quality initiatives and improvements
Data and Reporting-
- Be able to work with IT groups to develop and steward project management for capturing and improving our data needed for reducing cash spent for ARO
- Develop controls and process documentation to improve data quality for ARO and regulatory reporting
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of oil and gas related experience or demonstrated knowledge of the industry
- Minimum of 2 years working as process improvement or data analytics solutions
- Economic evaluation and planning experience
- Process improvement, data quality, and data science experience
- Experience using source data to build visualizations and reports
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic, multi-task, customer service environment
- Ability to shift focus as needed, but mindful of all open projects and their deadlines
- Good organization and time management skills
- Strong ethics, service attitude, team player
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Engineering degree or equivalent experience in data science/Project management
- Familiarity with Calgem rules for the Oil and Gas industry
- Lean Six Sigma training
- Data science background
- Strong computer science background; (SQL, AWS, Python, ect.. programming languages)
- Experience in process and data management
- Machine learning
- Familiarity with Idle Well compliance requirements
- Understanding of oil and gas operations
