The successful candidate will be responsible for developing computational and systems biology approaches to analyze spatial omics data and single-cell omics data (e.g., scRNA-seq, scATAC-seq, single-cell proteomics). This role involves working in a dynamic environment and conducting integrative analyses of multidimensional datasets within the context of basic immunology and cancer immunotherapy.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement computational and systems biology approaches for network and hidden driver analysis from spatial omics and single-cell omics data.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to apply developed algorithms to real-world datasets and generate valuable biological insights.

  • Perform integrative analyses of multidimensional datasets within the context of basic immunology and cancer immunotherapy.

  • Communicate research findings through presentations, publications, and conferences.

  • Contribute to the development of grant proposals and funding applications.

Minimum Education and/or Training:

  • A doctoral degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent) in a relevant field.

Required:

Candidates must hold a doctoral degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent). Applicants with a PhD in a quantitative field (computational biology, bioinformatics, systems biology, genetics/genomics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related fields) are encouraged to apply.

Strong candidates from a primarily wet-lab or clinical background who wish to develop sophisticated quantitative skills will also be considered.

Successful candidates will have a track record of scientific productivity, e.g., a first author paper, or a demonstrable contribution to a large project. Experience in immunology or cancer immunotherapy or single-cell technologies is desired.

The initial appointment will be for 1-2 years and can be renewed for up to a total of 5 years, depending on the candidate’s goals and qualifications.
