Description

We are growing and seeking for a Data Engineer with strong technical expertise and outstanding collaboration skills to join our dynamic Data Science and Analytics team. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers Claroty’s xDome solution and supports a growing team of scientists applying advanced machine learning to cybersecurity challenges.

This role demands a hands-on, proactive engineer who can work side-by-side with analysts, data scientists, and product teams to design scalable solutions, ensure data reliability, and drive technical excellence in our AWS-native environment.

Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer, your impact will be:

  • Make a critical contribution to shaping and developing the core of our Data Platform used for AI research and business intelligence, from design to implementation
  • Design and build complex data pipelines to move and manipulate data from a wide variety of data sources.
  • Closely collaborate with various teams, including Software Engineering, AI Engineering and Product Management
  • Integrate and manage robust data flows between Claroty’s xDome SaaS environment and internal data platforms
  • Develop efficient ETL processes using Spark (PySpark), Airflow and other modern frameworks
  • Own and optimize the Databricks (or equivalent) environment, ensuring seamless data access, governance, and performance tuning
  • Implement best practices for data management, quality assurance, and security within the AWS ecosystem
  • Partner with ML teams to deploy and maintain feature stores, model input pipelines, and model monitoring systems

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer in cloud-native environments, ideally within high-growth SaaS or cybersecurity companies
  • 4+ years of experience in Spark (preferably PySpark), Python, and distributed data processing at scale
  • Extensive experience with data lake architectures and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB, OpenSearch, or similar)
  • Hands-on experience working with Databricks or equivalent big-data platforms
  • Strong proficiency in AWS cloud services (S3, Glue, RDS, Bedrock, etc.)
  • Excellent design capabilities, with the ability to understand complex requirements and architectural considerations, and proven ability to design flexible, reliable, and scalable solutions
  • A collaborative mindset with demonstrated ability to work effectively across data science, analytics, and engineering teams
  • Solid understanding of data governance, security best practices, and compliance in cloud environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting ML and LLM pipelines in production environments.
  • Expertise in graph databases (Neo4j, Neptun) - advantage
  • Familiarity with data orchestration tools such as Airflow, DBT, Argo Workflows
  • Experience with micro services architecture and distributed systems - Advantage
  • Familiarity with real-time data streaming tools (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis)
  • Exposure to security data and cyber-physical systems is a significant advantage
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
