About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Data Product Manager to join our Wealth Management Data and Analytics team as a Specialist in Data Governance. This role will focus on the stewardship and product ownership of core wealth data domains—balances, positions, and tax lots—within our Wealth Management Data Cloud. You will be responsible for driving the strategy, governance, and lifecycle of these data products to ensure they are accurate, trusted, and aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the data product owner for balances, positions, and tax lots, ensuring data is fit-for-purpose, well-documented, and governed across its lifecycle.
  • Define and maintain metadata, lineage, and quality standards for assigned data domains using enterprise tools such as Collibra and Snowflake.
  • Build and maintain data management artifacts (e.g., data dictionaries, lineage diagrams, quality rules, stewardship assignments) in alignment with the enterprise data strategy and governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with data stewards, engineers, and business stakeholders to prioritize enhancements, resolve data quality issues, and align on product roadmaps.
  • Lead the development and execution of data governance frameworks, policies, and controls in alignment with enterprise data strategy.
  • Represent Wealth Management in enterprise data governance forums and contribute to the evolution of federated data governance models.
  • Partner with compliance, risk, and legal teams to ensure data usage adheres to regulatory and privacy requirements.
  • Drive adoption of data products by evangelizing their value and ensuring they are discoverable, accessible, and well-supported.

Qualifications

  • · 10+ years of experience in data governance, data product management, or data strategy roles within financial services, preferably wealth management.
  • · Deep understanding of investment data structures, particularly balances, positions, and tax lots.
  • · Proven experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra), cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake), and data cataloging practices.
  • · Strong knowledge of data quality management, metadata standards, and regulatory data compliance (e.g., SEC, FINRA).
  • · Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across business and technology teams.
  • · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Data Science, or a related field.

Preferred Attributes

  • · Experience working in a federated data governance model.
  • · Familiarity with Agile product management methodologies.
  • · Certification in data governance or data management (e.g., DCAM, CDMP).
