Operations Planning and Monitoring Department (OPMD) holds the operations planning and monitoring function of the Place Management and Operations Division (PMOD), including building a sensing capability with data from markets and hawker centres to develop and execute operations policy. It also supports transformative initiatives, such as Clean Tables/Clean Toilets/Environment Sanitation (ES) Regime to enhance standards of cleanliness and hygiene in markets and hawker centres and shore up our public health resilience through technology adoption and other productivity measures.[What you will be working on]
You will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders to plan and implement strategies to build operational readiness and effectiveness, enhance standards of cleanliness and hygiene in markets and hawker centres, and drive operations excellence within the Division. You will be responsible for the following:
Monitor and review Division’s records to ensure information are accurate and up-to-date
Consolidate, analyse statistics, and develop data dashboards to monitor trends and to support the Division’s decision-making process
Develop, review or verify monitoring methodologies to enhance the Division’s management of markets and hawker centres
Drive projects to enhance the Division’s operational effectiveness and efficiency.
Develop, review or verify as operational processes through data analysis to drive operations excellence.
Manage and co-ordinate with the various stakeholders to ensure operations are carried out effectively and efficiently.
Support the Division to manage and coordinate with the various stakeholders on crisis management and emergency planning
[What we are looking for]
The job might be for you if you possess the following qualities:
Able to gather, analyse and interpret information from relevant sources, and employ statistical techniques to produce operational insights
Possess design thinking skills and pay attention to fine details. Able to think strategically, plan and apply analytical reasoning in data analysis.
Proficient with Microsoft office suite and Data Analysis languages (e.g. Python, R), or related software
Strong analytical, project and management skills
Organised and able to multi-task
Able to work independently, collaboratively and under tight deadlines
Good team player, self-driven, resourceful and ready to strive for improvement.
Good communication skills and task-oriented
Able to adapt to face-paced environment and work weekends/beyond office hours (when necessary)
