  • Utilize advanced knowledge of quantitative analysis, management science, data mining, mathematics, Hadoop/Hive, SQL, Excel, and presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand how our users interact with both our consumer and business products.
  • Identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations and influence the direction of Security strategy by effectively communicating results to cross functional groups, including Security strategy leadership.
  • Leverage data and mathematical principles to provide insights about user behavior, inform business decisions based on data mining and large, complex data sets, and solve large scale data infrastructure problems.
  • Predict and understand user patterns through metric analysis.
  • Work cross functionally to define problem statements, collect data, build analytical models and make recommendations.
  • Develop mathematical models and perform data analysis to drive insights to improve Meta’s operations.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities.
  • Build and analyze dashboards, reports and key data sets to empower operations and exploratory analysis.
  • Automate analyses and author data pipelines via SQL and Python based ETL framework.
  • Develop strong business partnerships with Security strategy leadership by translating strategic questions into structured analyses, defining success metrics, and developing reporting channels.
  • Assist in designing hypothesis testing experiments, analyze data collected, and present results.
  • Conduct ad hoc data analysis based on current team needs.
  • Complete root cause analysis of different workflows in order to quantify problems, operationalize goals and identify priorities.
  • Answering big picture questions by framing the question, turning it into an analytical plan, executing and communicating to stakeholders.
  • Initiating and driving projects to completion in a high cross-functional environment.
  • Telecommute from anywhere in the US permitted.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Analytics, Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, or
    related field, and 5 years of experience in job offered or in an analyst-related occupation.
  • Requires 60 months of experience in each of the following:
  • 1. Solving analytical problems and building models using quantitative, statistical or machine learning approaches
  • 2. Machine Learning, Statistics, or other data analysis tools and techniques
  • 3. Performing data extraction, cleaning, analysis and presentation for medium to large datasets
  • 4. At least one programming language: Python, R, Java, or C++
  • 5. Writing SQL queries
  • 6. Scientific computing and analysis packages: NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, dplyr, or ggplot2
  • 7. Statistics methods: inferential, forecasting, time series, hypothesis testing, clustering and regression analysis
  • 8. Data visualization libraries: Matplotlib, Pyplot, or ggplot2
  • 9. Working with distributed computing tools: Hadoop, Hive, or Spark
  • and
    10. Applied statistics or experimentation, such as A/B testing.

$217,553/year to $235,400/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
