What we're looking for

We’re looking to hire a dedicated Development Scientist, who will drive and support this function as we scale at a rapid pace. You're passionate about medical research and data science, making things happen, while being a highly structured team player with great attention to detail. You take pride in seeing the company and customers thrive and win using the knowledge of the services we provide. You see operational effort as a core part of any successful organization, and want to have an active role in shaping it.

You understand the broad nature of medical imaging interaction with data science and that the final commitment is with the users and customers, and are eager to participate in research and exploratory activities. You will be bridging the vision and research objectives of your customer, providing the expertise and operational drive required to take every project to success. The learnings, algorithms and data generated along the way, becomes the evidence we need to drive the research product forward in the right direction. Here you will have direct involvement with the software engineering team to educate and mentor them to ensure the product moves in the right direction.

You will become an integrated part of a fast-moving squad developing and providing a state-of-the-art global medical service. Your leadership style is hands-on, leading by example, where you show the way through tight communication and encouraging drive. You believe the team wins and loses as one.

Responsibilities

  • Data science, system architecture and project processes
    • Support Customer projects with data science tools
    • Curate data from customer projects on our research platform
  • Automate processes
    • Build and support tools and process for internal use and external collaborators
    • Build and support data extraction and presentations
    • Explore and implement advanced processes for analytics and research applications
  • Analytics and process support
    • Participate in the operational research procedure
    • Drive the internal data analytics operations
    • Support and improve the company AI strategy


Skills And Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of medical data and processing
  • We are a start-up and we need doers. Although you will get our full support, we need a certain level of autonomy and proactivity.
  • Previous experience with at least one of those healthcare areas/standards:
    • DICOM
    • HL7/FHIR
    • EHR integration
    • LIS/RIS/HIS
  • +3 years of Python experience in healthcare/life sciences including, at least:
    • Integration with other systems through REST API
    • Computational parallelization
  • You are familiar with basic git usage (clone, pull, branch, merge, commit, push)
  • Strong communication skills to efficiently handle customers and drive cross-team efforts
  • Drive all your work in English


Extra points

  • You know how to build a Python microservice in Flask or similar technologies.
  • Experience in Docker and containerization
  • Experience working in the cloud, ideally with AWS.
  • AI/ML experience in the medical imaging field, ideally with PyTorch
  • Experience working in structured multi-member development repositories such as git
  • Relevant certifications
